How EMS works?

An EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) machine works by sending electrical impulses through electrodes on the skin, which mimic the nervous system to cause involuntary muscle contractions. These contractions are triggered by the impulses reaching the motor nerves, making the muscle fibers contract. The principle can be used to both strengthen muscles through high-frequency, intense contractions or to relax muscles and promote recovery with low-frequency pulses. 

• Electrical impulses: The device sends electrical signals through electrodes placed on the skin. 

• Mimicking the nervous system: These impulses replicate the signals your brain normally sends to tell muscles to contract. 

• Triggering muscle contractions: When the electrical current reaches motor nerves, it causes them to fire and the connected muscles to contract. 

• Controlling frequency: The machine's frequency is key to the effect. 

• High frequency: Delivers rapid pulses for intense contractions to build strength and tone. 

• Low frequency: Delivers slower pulses for gentle contractions to help with relaxation and pain management. 

• Improving workout effectiveness: When used during exercise, EMS can intensify a workout by extending the time muscles are contracted, working them beyond what is possible through voluntary effort alone.
